I have the honour to acknowledge receipt of your letter No. 4111/1911 of 25th instant enquiring whether it would be possible to procure a supply of notes not completed and to complete them here.

In reply I beg to inform you that if the limit

of the #1 note issue is increased, we shall be willing to bear

the expense of bringing out our present stock of $100,000 completed notes in London and will consider the question of obtaining a still further shipment at as early a date as the

notes can be printed. Owing to the heavy work involved in

signing mall notes and shortage of staff, it is not convenient

to bring out unsigned one dollar notes.
